I began my professional journey at a mid-sized Polish IT company, which was later acquired by a prominent international firm. Over two decades, I progressed through various stages of professional development—from a Technical Consultant position, through several management levels in the company’s Polish subsidiary, to the role of Global IT Project Manager in a multinational corporation. This experience enabled me to gain insight into different aspects of IT, from team management to the technical facets of projects.

Joining Better Software Group was a step that allowed me to further develop in an area that has always fascinated me – mobile technology. I have always believed that the mobile sector is the future of technology, and mobile devices and wearables are changing the way we live, work, and communicate. The decision to create a dedicated mobile unit stemmed from the belief that centralizing our efforts around mobile technologies would enable us to deliver more cohesive and innovative solutions for our clients.

The primary goal of the new unit is to provide a more standardized experience and a unified approach to software development. We strive to ensure that our solutions are consistent and optimized, which will not only increase the efficiency of our work but also allow us to expand our offerings for existing clients and attract new ones seeking innovative mobile solutions. A priority is to maximize our reach to both current and potential clients by positioning Spyrosoft as an expert in the field of mobile applications. 

Pourriez-vous nous parler des projets les plus intéressants sur lesquels vous avez travaillé ? Lequel considérez-vous comme votre plus grande réussite ?

Our portfolio encompasses a wide range of fascinating projects, but two stand out particularly. First, our partnership with AmRest led to the creation of the KFC app for both iOS and Android, available in five countries. This app enhances customer experiences by enabling home delivery orders or allowing users to bypass queues at the restaurant. Thanks to our work, customers can also use kiosks in KFC restaurants.  

The second notable project involves our collaboration with TV2, Norway’s second-largest broadcaster. We developed various mobile apps for them, most notably the TV2 Play App. This app offers users access to live streams of TV 2’s channels, a movie rental service, a selection of international and Norwegian TV series, news updates, and live sports coverage.

Our approach is not limited to specific industries. However, we have a strong foundation in the media sector, from which Spyrosoft BSG originates. We live in times when the market dynamics and its requirements are constantly changing, which is why we want to offer our services to a wide range of clients. This broad approach allows us to serve a variety of customers, from healthcare, finance, retail to education.   

When it comes to trends, the integration of AI and ML into mobile apps is becoming increasingly common, offering personalized experiences, intelligent automation, and predictive analytics. Features such as chatbots, voice recognition, and personalized recommendations are becoming standard.

Additionally, e-commerce is rapidly transitioning to mobile platforms, with apps providing seamless shopping experiences that include augmented reality views of products and straightforward payment options.  The challenges we face often relate to the creation of intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing app designs that meet the high expectations of users. This task is becoming increasingly difficult as user standards rise.

Another persistent challenge involves security: protecting user data against breaches, ensuring privacy, and complying with regulations like the GDPR are critical and challenging aspects of mobile app development. Finally, ensuring accessibility is crucial; making apps user-friendly for people with disabilities requires thoughtful design and testing.
