Schwarz Digits is the technology engine behind the Schwarz Group, one of Europe’s largest companies, whose divisions include Lidl, Kaufland, PreZero, and Schwarz Produktion. The Schwarz Group reported €185 billion in revenue in 2025, employs more than 600,000 people, and runs its own data centres across the continent.

STACKIT is its sovereign cloud – built and operated entirely in Europe, to European data protection standards. It includes comprehensive data protection compliance and BSI C5 attestation, a service portfolio spanning Kubernetes, data, and AI, and an OpenStack foundation that keeps clients free from lock-in. In short: a European hyperscaler, not a European front end on someone else’s infrastructure.
